May will be a very busy month! It's going to fly by so fast. I will try to remind myself to stay in the moment and just enjoy. We begin with our Cinco De Mayo celebration on May 3rd. Tres De Mayo ha ha ! On Thursday we will honor our Blessed Mother Mary. We will attend mass and weather permitting, proceed over to the statue of our queen. Each child will give her a flower that will be provided by the teachers. Please pray for good weather. We will learn about Mary in class particularly the relationship between a mother and a child. We will talk about how Mary became the mother of us all and how and why we pray to her. Spring Fling is coming soon! Beware, once the rides arrive all brains of St. John's Students fail to function! I hope you will bring your little ones. It's one of both mine and my childrens favorite St. John memories. On May 31st. We will have classroom clean up day. The kids get to wear play cloths and play in soap and water while they scrub toys. I hope it's hot and sunny, if so we will take everything outside and really have some fun!
June 1st our last day. This is such a sad day for me because I am moving to Arizona at the end of June. I have loved every minute of being a teacher at St. John's school. Your daughters gave me such joy this year. I couldnt have ask for a better class. Your daughters are truly a gift to be cherished. You know, whenever I have the priviledge of being in the company of a delightful child, I can't help but think what a great job their parents did in raising them. Good Job Moms and Dads! Love and blessings, Mrs. B
Star of the week We will celebrate each of our girls by making them the Star of the Week. We will have a display in our classroom that will highlight their interests and their loved ones. Each child will bring home a bag and a small poster paper. They may place three items in the bag that they would like to “showcase”. They need to be items that can stay in class overnight. These items should tell something about them such as ballet slippers, a favorite book, or even sea shells. The poster board should have an “all about me” theme. This can be pictures of favorite food, hobbies, and special people in their lives, family members, and pets. These items will come in on Tuesday and go home on Thursday. Emma will bring her bag and poster board home this Thursday April 26th and return it on Tuesday.
